PHYS305 Tools of Astronomy
This course surveys the tools and techniques used in astronomical research. Topics include star charts, catalogs, telescopes and detectors, quantifying light, distance determination, astrometry, spectroscopy, and photometry. Three hours lecture per week. (Prerequisites: MATH205 and PHYS102 or 201)
