T ED358 Teaching Reading in the 21st Century

Provides teacher candidates with an integrated understanding of the literacy constructs across the PK-6, grade levels. Additional topics include research-based exploration of the nature of the reading process and related classroom practice. Teacher candidates will also examine an equity framework for culturally and historically responsive literacy using quality multicultural children's literature. (Prerequisites: T ED340 and T ED356) Spring.
