MUS118 Musicianship I
Understanding the structure and function of the language of music with emphasis on modes, intervals, rhythm, cadences, melody writing, triads, non-chord tones, first species counterpoint, and four-part harmonic structures. Activities will include sight-singing, ear training, rhythmic exercises, and compositional exercises. (Prerequisite: MUS100 or department permission)
