ARCH302 Design Professions: Codes, Laws, Business Practices

This course introduces students to the professional context of architectural and design practice. Emphasis is placed on building codes, zoning regulations, accessibility standards, and legal considerations that directly shape design decisions. Students will also study the business side of the profession, including project management, contracts, ethics, and professional responsibilities. By exploring the intersection of design, law, and business practices, students will gain a practical understanding of what it means to work as a professional architect or designer and how to navigate the regulatory and economic landscape of the field.
