The expected first course for this certificate is MATH135. Students who do not place into MATH135 based on the Mathematics Placement Policy may need to complete the prerequisite courses in addition to the core courses listed below.

Prerequisite Courses for MATH135 Calculus & Analytic Geometry I (0-8 hours):

MATH101 Intermediate Algebra (4 hours)

MATH115 Pre-Calculus Mathematics (4 hours)

• A C- or higher is required for all prerequisite courses in the Department of Mathematics.
• This certificate is not open to students with a major in the Department of Mathematics
