This course provides an introduction to cultural and diversity issues related to education. It explores individual differences of self and others regarding ethnicity, race, socioeconomic status, gender identity, exceptionalities, citizenship, language and sexual orientation in the context of education and society Topics also include power, class, privilege, and social justice in schools; and navigating the current system to remove the barriers to equity.
