PHIL201 Intro to Jurisprudence
This course is an introduction to the theoretical and philosophical underpinnings of the United States judicial system. It will investigate the concept of law' as it has been applied throughout the course of western civilization. It will also explore the works of philosophers who inspired the authors of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, the origins of the various schools of judicial philosophy and the often complicated relationship between moral and legal reasoning.
