INTD201 Sophomore Studio: Introduction to the Design Process
Provides an introduction to interior design fundamentals and the interior designer's role within the built environment. Emphasizes the application of the elements and principles of design, color, and light within the context of interior design. The functionality of space is explored in order to solve problems, meet the needs of special populations, cultures, human behavior and address accessibility, universal design, and sustainability. Basic knowledge of materials, textiles, furniture, furnishings, building systems, and applied space planning skills are introduced. Develop understanding of design processes and begin to create your own approach and philosophy that will be utilized on your path to obtaining your degree. (Prerequisite: INTD102) Fall
