This exciting, hands-on course blends traditional and modern photographic techniques to deepen your artistic practice. “Photo Explorations” invites you to experience the timeless art of black-and-white film photography, the magic of the darkroom, the versatility of digital photography, and the experimental realm of light painting. Begin your journey by exploring the fundamentals of black-and-white film photography, from using multiple film cameras and to understanding the allure of printing. Immerse yourself in the darkroom process, where you 'll learn to develop film, create prints, and bring your images to life. Finally, push the boundaries of photography with light painting, a creative technique that uses long exposures and handheld light sources to "paint" stunning, colorful surreal images in the dark. This experimental process will challenge you to think outside the box and expand your artistic vision. (Prerequisite: ART219) Spring.
