ART201 Painting Foundations

(ARTS) Studio. Practice painting as a creative process employing drawing, design, color, and image. Emphasizes foundations, acrylic technique, structured experimentation, and organizing two-dimensional surface for successful composition and expression. Introduces historical and contemporary painting and its conceptual foundations as these relate to students' work. (Prerequisite: ART101 or ART103 or permission of instructor). Fall.
