SCJ557 Gun Violence in America

This graduate-level course is designed to expose students to an advanced discussion of the issues surrounding gun violence in the United States. The course will focus on issues such: (a) the legal basis and public policy arguments regarding gun regulation; (b) the sociological context of gun use; and (c) the response of the criminal justice to gun crime. Students will develop a detailed understanding of the legal, practical and moral issues associated with the use of firearms in various contexts.
