Dual Enrollment for High School Students
High school students can benefit from dual enrollment by earning college credit that can transfer to most colleges, saving on future tuition costs, exploring areas of study that interest them, and getting a head start on preparing for the college environment and college-level work. The cost of dual enrollment courses is $125 per credit hour for tuition, plus the cost of textbooks. However, for participating students, the total cost of the courses, including tuition and textbooks, is covered by their school if they attend a public school, or by the State if they attend a private school.
When considering dual enrollment classes, it's good to know that the grades you earn will become part of your academic record. If you decide to enroll at Adrian College after graduating high school, your dual enrollment GPA will be included in your cumulative GPA. Interested students are encouraged to meet with their guidance counselor to discuss which courses are appropriate and would fit their high school class schedule. No refunds will be issued after the first week of classes. For more information and to apply, visit adrian.edu/admissions/dual-enrollment.
