T ED410 Social and Emotional Health and Learning

This course addresses individual and population approaches to dealing with social and emotional health issues. Topics include mental illness, historical perspectives, the role of educators in social and emotional learning, determinants of mental health, stress and coping, understanding psychotic disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, ATOD dependence, and treatment. The relationship of learning to overall health will be discussed including relevant resources.
