MUS218 Songwriting

This course is designed to introduce students to the tools and techniques of the craft of songwriting. Throughout the course, students will explore various aspects of melodic and lyric design and development. Topics will include the relationship between lyrics and melody, song structure and form, chords and arranging, and the organization of musical and lyrical ideas into popular song formats. Prerequisite: CCC101
